|Ken Baker, Pastor to the Harvest|
Ken Baker serves as Pastor to the Harvest, where he chairs our Mission Board and oversees the missions directives for our church, and also serves as the developer of Living Springs, a Christian camp and conference center that is being built for the Church of God of Prophecy in South Carolina. Pastor Baker also directs the Seniors' and Men's Ministries at Harvest.
In addition to his service to the church, he is an adjunct professor for the Religion department at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC.
Pastor Baker has served as Senior Pastor at four churches in the Church of God of Prophecy: Leeds, AL; Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; and here at Harvest Ministries from 1984-1998 where he built the church we are currently worshipping in. He has served in numerous state assignments for the Church of God of Prophecy, including State Overseer from August 2000 - September 2008.
Ken is a native of Lancaster County, South Carolina. He graduated from Tomlinson College with an Associates of Arts in Bible, graduated Southern Wesleyan University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, then received his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degree from Christian Life School of Theology. He recently received his Doctorate degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Ken was married to Linda Ruth Griffith (Baker) for over 30 years until her sudden death in 2002. They have two grown children, Kenneth Jr. (Blue) and Kara, and three grandchildren. Pastor Baker married Robin Isbell in 2003, and Robin has two children who are now Ken's also: David and Kristin. David is married and has a child, and Kristin is married with two children.
The Bakers consider themselves blessed beyond anything they deserve. In Ken's own words..."I owe everything I am and everything I have to the Lord, those He placed in my life, and to the church. I would be nothing and could do nothing without His grace.
